Statement of Faith
One God
We believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us—dynamically powerful and fully authoritative in all matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct. Even in matters that we do not fully understand, we place ourselves under its authority.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Lord of life. We believe in His full divinity and full humanity. We believe that Jesus suffered, died on the cross, and rose again to win victory on our behalf over sin, death, and the powers of evil.
Salvation
We believe that every person has the opportunity to respond to God’s love and truth by acknowledging their hopeless entanglement in sin and turning in faith to Jesus Christ as their only hope of rescue. In doing so, a person receives complete forgiveness for their sins, assurance of eternal life in God’s Kingdom, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all followers of Christ, and will, with our permission and submission, transform us increasingly to reflect Christ to the world. The Holy Spirit convicts our hearts of our sins, guides us into all truth, comforts us, supplies us with spiritual gifts to be used for God’s glory, and energizes us to serve and witness.
The Church
We believe that all followers of Christ are called to be part of Christ’s church, the grace-filled fellowship of believers and worshipping community, characterized by new life in Christ and involvement in Christ’s mission to the world. We believe that every congregation which is committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and submitted to the Word of God is authentically and vitally a part of the worldwide Body of Christ.
The Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God broke into our world with Christ’s coming, that it shines today in the midst of our broken world through the lives and work of those who do God’s will, and that it will arrive in all its fullness when Christ returns at the end of this age.
